Products Liability

The firm’s attorneys have extensive experience handling all types of product liability and related claims for national and local companies alike, including children’s products and toys, recreational and exercise products and equipment, food and food/beverage containers, respiratory equipment, agricultural and industrial products (including herbicides and insecticides), paint products, chemicals, caustics and solvents, aircraft and aircraft components, medical products and devices, as well as the usual assortment of consumer, mechanical, electrical, industrial, automobile, and drug related cases.

The firm has served in various capacities in product-liability matters, including lead counsel, representing large national manufacturers in federal- and state-court actions, seeking to protect the quality of their product’s design and manufacture. The firm has also served as local counsel for product manufacturers in large product-liability actions, and has represented smaller local and regional businesses, including both those who have been product manufacturers and those whose participation in litigation has resulted from its role as the product’s seller rather than as the manufacturer or designer of a product.

The firm also advises self-insured and private clients in the product-liability field and has helped them to develop warnings and instructions for their products and to protect their interests in transactional matters.

The firm’s attorneys have served on various national committees on product-liability issues, including DRI’s Product Liability Committee and the IADC Product Liability Committee.
