Mr. Stevens has practiced law in Colorado since 2000, after he earned his Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City. Following admission to the Colorado Bar, his practice has concentrated on recreational and equine law, construction law, automotive and transportation defense, and general personal injury. Mr. Stevens is also highly active in the legal community. He is one of the leaders of the Denver Bar Association's Bench-Bar Committee, and was recently Second Vice President of the Denver Bar Association's Board of Trustees and a member of the Colorado Bar Association's Board of Governors. He is also a past Chair of the DBA's Young Lawyers Division; as the Chair, he oversaw that group's various charitable and community-focused activities. Mr. Stevens has presented instructional programs regarding risk management and safety issues to the Colorado Dude and Guest Ranch Association and the Colorado Outfitters Association, and as a frequent guest speaker to nursing students regarding malpractice and general legal issues. Before joining the firm, Mr. Stevens served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Richard M. Borchers, Magistrate Judge for the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, and was an attorney in the Denver firm of Senter, Goldfarb & Rice, LLC (2000 - 2002).
