Attorneys Grund and Knutson discuss critical incidents and litigated claims with ski instructors

On November 16, at the request of the Professional Ski Instructors Association (PSIA) Rocky Mountain Division, John Grund, a partner at Grund • Dagner, joined Tracey Knutson (Knutson & Associates), to address representatives from the PSIA member schools. Their well-received presentation focused on risk management as well as on various issues relating to the handling of critical incidents and litigated claims.  The talk provided the attendees a general understanding of the legal concepts underlying potential claims, emphasized the importance of planning to minimize the risks of accidents, and discussed ways to assure the most favorable outcome possible when accidents do occur and claims are made.

A major portion of Grund’s and the firm’s practice involves risk-management counseling and the defense of recreation and amusement litigation.  The firm associates in various jurisdictions with Knutson, an Alaska attorney who represents recreation and adventure sports commercial operators around the country.
